Los Angeles Times published an article about Bienestar’s Transgenero Unidas. TU was established over 22 years ago to provide health information, support and empowerment to the Latina Transgender community. The program is offered at all of Bienestar’s locations. Over the past 22 years, TU has offered support, services and a voice to a community that had been neglected. Today, the Transgender community is being acknowledged and supported, even though there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Bienestar is proud to have established the TU program and to have provided many of the Latina Transgender leaders a place to initiate their community work.
