Our Food Bank provides ongoing food assistance for low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS. HIV impairs nutritional status by undermining the immune system, as well as nutrient intake, absorption, and use. Malnutrition can exacerbate the effects of HIV and hasten AIDS-related illnesses in people living with HIV. Food availability and good nutrition are thus essential for keeping people living with HIV healthy for longer. A stronger, healthier body can better resist the opportunistic infections that affect people living with HIV.
The Bienestar Food Bank is an equitable
solution for those suffering from food
insecurity and living with HIV/AIDS.
If you need food assistance but do
not meet the requirements for our
food bank, we can provide a
one-time emergency food service
and then connect you to other food banks
