Bienestar is proud to be a Community Collaborator with NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) at their upcoming Monthly Film Festival on June 23rd, spotlighting LGBTQ+ cinema and other genres.

One of the feature films is Alaska’s A Drag, the story of a drag performer in small-town Alaska who must survive his surroundings and find a way to follow his dreams, created from a short film made in AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women.

Concluding the night is the InFocus: LGBTQ+ shorts program, which features both narrative and nonfiction stories of struggle, triumph and personal relationships.

The night will feature 3 separate programs as well as an open bar.
