BIENESTAR commemorated National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) and in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles, organized the annual event “TESTIMONY OF HOPE 2013". The event celebrated the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and sent a message against discrimination and awareness to the Community about HIV/AIDS.

BIENESTAR has developed a substance abuse treatment program. The new Program is called, "NUEVO AMANECER", or "NEW DAWN". This special program helps people recover from the negative effects of drugs and alcohol use. Individuals who want treatment will be offered, individual and group counseling. It is hard to believe that after 30 years, ignorance, homophobia, transphobia, AIDSphobia and discrimination continue in our community.
