Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services (CRCS) is an intensive, individualized client-centered counseling for adopting and maintaining HIV risk-reduction behaviors for Gay Men. CRCS is designed for HIV-positive and HIV-negative individuals who are at high risk for acquiring or transmitting HIV and STDs and struggle with issues such as substance use and abuse, physical and mental health, and social and cultural factors that affect HIV risk. Through a course of five to seven sessions, CRCS Counselors help clients develop an individualized prevention plan with goals and measurable objectives. CRCS counselor will provide ongoing, multi-session intensive HIV risk and behavior change counseling, provide on going referrals (STD testing, mental health, case management, shelters, schools, etc.) and conduct on going monitoring and reassessment of client progress and needs.
