Access, Education, Mobilization...Our Community's Solution!
¡Acceso, Educación, Movilización...La Solución Para Nuestra Comunidad!

PROYECTO ORGULLO
JUSTICIA PARA TOD@S

Proyecto Orgullo is a community education project focused on educating and mobilizing communities in Southern California around issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Latinos.  Topics include immigration, civil rights, LGBT marriage equality and healthcare.  Proyecto Orgullo's main objective is to engage individuals in taking an active role in shaping policy initiatives that directly impact their communities.

Proyecto Orgullo was born out of the need to mobilize the Latino community against discriminatory legislation.  It also serves as a means to promote positive policy initiatives, including those that keep students safe at school and end discrimination in civil marriage laws.

Proyecto Orgullo aims to promote awareness of issues affecting the LGBT Latinos through community education and mobilization efforts.  To date, some of our activities include a door-to-door marriage equality canvass in Boyle Heights and organizing hundreds of youth across the state to participate in Queer Youth Advocacy Day in Sacramento.

There are many opportunities to get involved with Proyecto Orgullo.  Please give us a call to learn more!
